Ureteric stones
This presents with severe loin to groin pain. We must identify the cause of the stone using metabolic testing and can usually be managed by laser therapy. Recurrence of the stone can be reduced by targeted medical therapy.
Ureteric strictures/ narrowing in the ureter:
This is usually congenital and can be treated with plastic surgery once diagnosed.
